The Elephant Whisperer

My most recent read was a book titled, "The Elephant Whisperer" by Lawrence Anthony. For those of you that know me, animals are my weak spot. I have always been an animal lover and some of my favorite books are about different majestic species from all over the globe. This book definitely ranks in the top of my favorite books about animals. Lawrence Anthony, an wildlife conservationist, owns a game reserve in Zululand, South Africa called Thula Thula. When spontaneously asked to house a herd of "rouge" elephants, he quickly agreed. This book takes you on journey of Anthony's quest to acclimate the herd to their new home, as well as understand the magnificent species. He has written two other books, titled "The Last Rhinos" and "Babylon's Ark" that are obviously on my to-read list. After you read this book, you too will be inspired to learn more about this incredible man and his devotion to animals of the bush.
