Sometimes I Lie

07/24/2018

Well...I can say one thing for sure..this book will keep you guessing (and quite possibly re-reading chapters to try and comprehend what you've just read). The story is told through three different years of the characters' lives: middle school, and before and after the accident that lands Amber in a coma. As Amber struggles to discover the truth behind the cause and implications of her accident (or is she), you'll find yourself running the all the possible scenarios trying to figure it out for yourself. Who's lying? Who's responsible? How did they get here?

Quite honestly, I found this book to be confusing. The plot didn't truly unravel until about 75 pages were left in the book, and even then, I wasn't quite sure what character had done what. While this book did live up to the psychological thriller name, I wouldn't be very far up there in my ranking of favorite thrillers.
