I am a big fan of memoirs, so I was instantly drawn to this text after I read the back cover and discovered that Jordan Romero was only 15 when he accomplished his goal of climbing the seven summits. This includes Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Kosciuszko, Mount Elbrus, Mount Aconcagua, Denali, Mount Carstensz Pyramid, Mount Everest, and Vinson Massif. This book takes you through the training and obstacles Jordan and his family faced along the way to achieving his dream. The book is chunked in sections and takes the reader through Jordan's training, preparation, and actual climbing of each mountain. It's an astonishing story, and at times, I couldn't believe what I was reading. To think of such a young boy attempting such a daunting task...With a supportive and determined family behind him, Jordan sticks to his dream and accomplishes what many thought to be impossible.
